WatermarkWipe is a small collection of free, privacy-first image tools that run entirely in your web browser. The flagship tool removes the visible star watermark that Google Gemini adds to AI-generated images, and the site also includes simple tools to compress and convert images.
What we believe
Image tools should be fast, free, and private. That is why everything here runs on your own device using the browser's Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never seen by us. There is no account to create and nothing to install.
How the watermark remover works
Rather than using AI to paint over the watermark, WatermarkWipe reverses the exact blend Google uses to add the star. On an image at its original output size, this restores the original pixels with no quality loss. You can read the full explanation in our step-by-step guide.
Responsible use
WatermarkWipe is intended for cleaning up images you created yourself. It only removes the visible logo and does not affect SynthID, the invisible signal that keeps an image detectable as AI-generated. For more on that, see what SynthID is.
